Services

First medical appointment

The patient with orthopedic and/or traumatologic pathology is evaluated in a comprehensive manner.
Studies are requested or interpreted and an initial treatment is given for your problem, with a comprehensive and detailed explanation of your disease.

Evaluation of imaging studies

All the studies you have will be interpreted, whether on CD, x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), scintigraphy and electromyography.
There is an exclusive screen for the patient to view the study and its detailed explanation.

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy

It is the drawing of blood and its centrifugation in order to separate the anti-inflammatory components present in the blood.
The patient's own blood avoids side effects and promotes regeneration and anti-inflammation in a more natural way.

Orthopedic diseases

They are those that are present from birth or by degeneration of the body.
Once the diagnosis is made, treatment is initiated to improve the patient's quality of life and mobility.

Joint wear and tear

The constant use of our joints causes a progressive degeneration of the articular cartilage, which causes pain and limitation of daily life activities.

Fractures in children, adults and the elderly

High or low energy trauma causes loss of bone continuity that can affect the joint, all of which require treatment, either immobilization or surgery.
Surgical treatment consists of plates, pins, and external fixation, including joint prostheses.

Traumas

Accidents are unexpected events that are one of the leading causes of musculoskeletal injuries.
Requires evaluation by an orthopedist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
El evitar caidas  en el paciente anciano, es una de las metas principales de sus cuidadores, yo te explico como.

Sports injuries

Depending on the sport, these are the injuries we may encounter.
Its timely diagnosis and treatment offers a more optimal and safe reincorporation to their activities.

Degenerative diseases

We are all subject to the inexorable passage of time, the daily use of our bodies causes wear and tear, pain and limitation.
Don't let that stop you, a decent quality of life is something to strive for no matter how old you are.

Diseases

Joint wear and tear

It occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of bones wears away over time. Although osteoarthritis can affect any joint, it most commonly affects joints in the hands, knees, hips, and spine.

  • It is managed with medication, physical therapy, weight loss.
  • Excercise
  • Infiltrations
  • Joint replacement

Sports injuries

These are the injuries that most commonly occur during sports or exercise, such as sprains, strains and stress fractures. Traumatology focuses on the types of sports injuries that affect muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones.

Back pain

It is one of the main causes of limited movement and loss of quality of life.
Causes may be:

  • Muscle or ligament strain
  • Bulging or ruptured intervertebral disk
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Scoliosis
  • Fractures
  • Sports injuries

Ligament injury

It is the tearing or spraining of this ligament, which is one of the strong bands of tissue that help connect bone to bone. The ACL of the knee is the most commonly injured ligament. It causes pain, instability, additional meniscus injury, and joint degeneration.

Procedures

Adult fractures

  • Comprehensive care for patients with long and/or short bone fractures, with appropriate treatment for rapid recovery and return to daily activities.
  • Joint fracture surgery, which aims to minimize the after-effects of the fracture with the least painful activity possible.

Fractures in children

  • They require evaluation by a trauma and orthopedic specialist because children's bones do not heal like adults'.
  • Their care is based on identifying the injury and its type, classifying it and determining the type of treatment, either casting or surgery.

PRP therapy

  • It is the extraction and centrifugation of blood to obtain platelet-rich plasma from each patient and applied to areas of pain, inflammation and/or joint degeneration.
  • It is performed in a single visit and is used as a therapeutic option for orthopedic and traumatologic conditions.

Joint infiltration

  • Intra-articular placement of hyaluronic acid is a fundamental tool in the treatment of degenerative osteoarthritis.
  • Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as methylprednisolone acetate may be used in cases of severe inflammation and with appropriate patient selection.

Joint replacement

  • When the osteoarthritis is severe, preventing movement, and the pain is incapacitating and diminishing the patient's quality of life, the decision is made to replace the joint.
  • Total arthroplasty recovers mobility and reduces pain due to severe joint wear and tear.
  • A proper evaluation will determine the right time for surgery.
